Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone has a splended night whatever you are doing. I am spending sometime with friends and then hopefully if no hangover tomorrow I'll be scrapping. I have my next to last Workout to post for ScrapFIT tomorrow. I can't believe my time on the DT is almost up. But it's time for some other lucky ladies to have their hand at the DT. It really was a lot of fun. Can't wait to see who they are!!!

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow!

Here in southern PA we are seeing some really nice snow fall today. I'm loving every minute of it! Hubby not so much cause the plow on the 4wheeler doesn't seem to be working too well. But I'm enjoying it and so are the boys. Already out in it once, now I'm getting ready for baking cookies. I couldn't have asked for a better day!

Workout #10

Wow can you believe it? #10 already. Okay so here it goes. Kelly asked us each to pick a Holiday related word. Then come up with our own little challenge based on the letters in the word. But you must use primarily Cosmo Cricket products cause they are the sponsor for this challenge!

So the word I chose was SNOWMAN. Snowman stands for S-stitching, N-nine circles, O-Overlapping, W-White background/cardstock, M-metal embellies, A-All Cosmo Cricket, N- Naught and Nice as the title.

Our first snow of the season!

I know many of you are in the same boat....but it was soooo nice to see the first snow yesterday. I was happy! And so was Bryson cause he got all dressed up and went outside most of the day. This is him in his new hat and his bibs and scarf getting ready to tackle the snow. Although we didn't ge much, it was still fun.

Workout #9

Can you believe we are up to # 9 already? Wow. So here it is...and this was fun! The object is to use LOTS of white space so this challenge is cleverly called "Snow Storm". And since snow kinda shimmers in the sunlight - don't forget to add that little sparkle to the page! Please hop on over to ScrapFIT and play along. Here's my take on the challenge. December is here already!

Holy Cow. Well time flies when you're having fun? We'll what a crazy, crazy, fun holiday weekend. Got some shopping done, did some cooking, spent some time with the fam, decorated, etc. All in all a great weekend. Now I just need a day or two to recooperate!

I have much to be thankful for! I have a wonderful hubby, two beautiful healthy children, a job, a house that I adore and ofcourse scrapbooking in my life. I have friends who are always there for me no matter what, all my family is near by and I get to spend the holidays with them. I couldn't ask for more ;0)

Sad Sunday

Well my Steelers let me down again. Geez. I totally expected to win in OT when we started marching down the field and then Big Ben gets hurt. Sooooooo close to field goal range. Just sucks. I blame it on my hubby cause he wasn't wearing his jersey (he was on an airplane at the time). But last week he didn't wear it either. So if you're looking for someone to blame for the back to back losses like I am - it's JP... lol Love ya honey!!!

Christmas is almost here!

I have been in the Christmas spirit...so while I had some time off this past week - I created my much over-due layout of last Christmas. Now I'm debating on whether to start decorating at home ;0)
But I shall wait another week if I can stand it - already started my xmas shopping though! It will be here before you know it. So tell me ladies do you still have pics from last Christmas to scrap? If so, what are you waiting for?

Well Halloween gone, hello November

Halloween was fun, wish I had decorated a bit more for it, I think the boys would have liked that but just couldn't this year. I usually go all out for Christmas so they'll live with that I guess! Here are the boys last night trick or treating, along with a gang photo of my boys, my niece and my bff's girls. Stay tuned for my next ScrapFIT layout! And I have several to post from the crop I went to last weekend.

Black and White

This is probably one of the easiest challenges we've had on ScrapFIT so far. But that doesn't make it any less special! I love it and I love how my layout turned out. It's nice every once in a while to stay simple and basic. So check out this black and white challenge and pull out those old photos or some new ones and get down to basics!

Headaches suck!

BIG TIME! I even took my Imitrex and damn thing made me sick and wouldn't go away. I slept about 6 hours today and it finally went away. Thank GOD. But that was 6 hours I could have been working on my Workout for scrapFIT. I'm so mad...now it's late and I'm trying to stay awake to finish it...serves me right for waiting until the last minute...(sigh)

Happy Day

Well like many people now a days - I really needed something to be happy about today - and I got it! My son got another "A" in class today for his behavior - didn't miss a single point again today! I'm so proud of him. He's also reading his 20 minutes every night, without a fight or whimper. It's been great and I'm tickled with his progress.
Now if only I could find a way to grow that money tree...

Football all over the place!

Love now that it's football season. Seriously! Steelers playing tonight. My big boy is playing on Sunday - which is home and we're going to kick some tail!!! Go Warriors. Best of all next week I'll be seeing Pittsburg in the flesh on Thursday night - I am so super excited - can you tell... think I've mentioned this somewhere before!

Busy weekend too with the holiday. Hope everyone has a safe one!

I love these pics of Ian, playing and enjoying the sun one Sunday afternoon in June. He's addicted to riding on the 4 wheeler with Daddy! It's so cute. My picture of the layout really doesn't do it justice...a little washed out. Sorry about that!

Count down begins - 8 more days til I'm off to Pittsburg to see the NFL opening game!!! SWEET! I can't wait to see the game, the pregame show and just being there in all the excitement. AND the best part is it's going to be Bryson's first football game. I will have plenty of pics I'm sure.

What a week!

My oldest baby turned 8 this past weekend. Yeah I planned a party, worked really hard to make it fun, spent all day Sunday cleaning, etc...but yet it still hasn't hit me yet his bday was here and went and now he's 8. For some reason 8 just seems like such a big number. Don't know why. 2 weeks til school starts and I'm freaking out too. So much to do and get ready for. It's just been crazy. But in light of everything going on, I got to get this pic snapped of my and my eldest son. Do you think he looks like me? Oh yeah and I sent off my latest DT challenge layout to Kelly for scrapfit! You gals are going to love this challenge...Perhaps I'll get a sneak peek of it up for you tomorrow.

My little man is growing up!

Yes both boys are growing up too fast for me but I've been looking at this picture for a while now and just had to scrap it and write down exactly what I feel when I see it. My baby is getting big!

I don't think I scrap enough with journalling that I want to be meaningful to the person who is seeing/reading it. After all what's the point?

I challenge you to write journalling on your next layout that expresses a little more emotion than just the who, when, where and why. I know you cna do it!

Football Season is here again...

Bryson starts football practice tomorrow. Already I'm dreading the rushing around, much later dinners and just plain more to do. On the scrapping front, I finished my layout for my first DT challenge, but can't upload it for you yet ;0) You'll see - just a few more days. I'm going to take the next couple of days and work on some cards. I bought a new punch that I learned to create flowers with it so I want to try that out. Hopefully use up some scraps too!

Too much info - Part 2 - Exciting news!

Not only did I just enjoy a wonderful vacation (well if you don't count the issues with the dog and the sunglasses) but when I got back I found an email that notified me I was chosen for a spot on ScrapFit's design team! Holy smokes batman - I am so excited! My first DT spot. Can't wait to get started. Please check out the link below and bookmark it so you can follow along at home. Too much info!

I have so much info to share! So much I think it will take 2 posts!

First and foremost - family and I just got back from vacation. We hada ball in M. Beach, SC. Weather was nice, hot and humid which we expected but the ocean water was so warm - couldn't have asked for better.

2 Days!!!

until vacation. I can hardly control myself. But between the holiday, work being crazy and preparing for my trip...I haven't had much time to do anything. Perhaps I shall take the scrapping tools with me to the beach? My family would really like that I'm sure.

Summer and lots of Attitude!

The past two weekends have been have great! Lots to do but enjoying the weather, really getting into the groove of summer. Sat we had Bryson's last Little League game and league picnic afterwards...FUN! And then today we enjoyed a little outside time.. I was cleaning windows (not so fun) but trying to get a little sun in the process. After dinner I thought the little pool would be warm enough for Ian to get in and play - turns out not warm enough...after I put him in for 2 seconds he screamed and cried, I pulled him out and snapped this pic! Too funny - like I said lots of Attitude!

Layouts - Yes I haven't forgotten what they are!

hee hee...here are some layouts I did recently, one is for a Challenge at Tally. I love to win stuff ;0) Still not doing the best job of staying up with the blog - Michelle now got me onto Facebook. Can I possibly fit anything else into my life? School is almost over, camp is starting soon and it's feeling like time is just flying by. Well off to read my new scrap mag..wish me luck on getting more layouts done this weekend!

A little embarassed...

by the fact that it has been months since I've posted on my blog. I guess you could say life has gotten in the way. Between tax season, two kids, working FT, and trying to enjoy myself...well the blog and everything else that isn't necessary kinda got neglected ;0)
Soooo now that things have settled down, I plan to revamp the blog...give it a face lift and try my hand at actually creating and posting regularly...wish me luck!

A Whole Month!

Wow it's been whole month since my last post... boy do I feel lazy. Not really - I feel tired! Too much going on. Happy New Year everyone - can't believe it's 2009 already. Geez where did the time go? My little guy will be a year old soon and it's tax season again. Sooooo that means all the fun things in life start to go by the wayside so I can make a little cash.
Sorry to have neglected everyone for awhile - thanks to the ladies who still have made comments on the blog - I promise I'll get back into things.
Along with wanting to lose weight this year - oh yeah that's not going well yet! - I'd like to get my schedule organized. I decided I need to make a plan to do one thing each night and actually accomplish it. I'm going to try!
Anyone else have any plans for change this year? Speaking of change... tomorrow we get a new President. I'll be honest I didn't vote for him and nor do I believe in him. But Lord, I hope I am wrong - and I hope that somehow our economy can bounce back. Everyone is struggling and it's getting pretty scary out there!
