Now that is a funny statement. It's been a month. I can't believe it. But I'm sure I sound like a broken record on that one. Life just seems to get more and more busy with no signs of slowing down. I really wish someone could explain to me why life it better when it's hectic all the time and everyone is expecting you to just keep doing and doing? Sigh. Okay enough of my rant.

Going to see Thomas!

Tomorrow will be the Plank family's second trip to see Thomas - this time our family is made of 4 Thomas lovers instead of 3. Big brother is excited about showing Ian all the fun things to do and see when you make the trip to visit Thomas. This time please pray there is no rain...at least not hurricane wind/rain ;0).

Here is a pic of Ian today showing off his arms full of Silly Bands. These are actually Bryson's but he doesn't wear them so Ian took a turn and won't take them off - LOL! He's so adorable.

WOWcan you believe it's June already? I can't and I can't believe that my oldest is now going to be a 4th grader! He's done so well in school lately I just have to give him a big shout out - Way to go Bryson!
On a happy note - we are spending the day together - he's going to be swimming and I'm scrapping - LOL. So maybe not together but we're hanging out. I plan to get some good stuff accomplished so stay tuned for the post.
And in a matter of day Tally's June kit will be arriving at my door and it has the most all time wanted product right now - Jillybean Soup's Corrugated Chipboard letters! They are the bomb!

Sad Day

Today, we lost a friend and a very sweet person. Tammy was only 39, the invitation to her surprise 40th birthday party sits on my microwave. I kept it there to remind myself to RSVP. But I never got the chance.

To try and understand why God works the way he does will drive a normal person insane. I try to remind myself there is a plan, He knows best and things happen for a reason. There is just no reasoning as to why cancer should strike anyone so young. As Joel put it, "it's unfair". Nothing more can be said. It's truly unfair.

Joel and I pray that the Mayers family can find comfort in this difficult time.

Well I suppose so! Happy Mother's Day to all you Mom's out there. I had a great weekend with my boys. Saturday we celebrates with a little shopping and a nice dinner at Red Lobster, then more shopping! This Mommy needed some new clothes and the boys delivered. Now into a size 12 and dropping! Yay!!! Could have used a little bit warmed weather though.

Cyber Crop recovery and Tally's April Kit

Hello everyone! It is now Tuesday and I am just still recooping from the busy weekend...the Cyber Crop was a huge success and I gotta tell you the place was just hopping all weekend - I am actually tired! LOL. Maybe too that's because I got my Tally kit for April on my doorstep Friday. If you love spring greens this one is for you! And did I mention SMOOCH? Never tried it until now and I love it! Here are a few layouts I designed with Tally's April kit so far....

Hope everyone had a wonderful day. Mine was extremely busy and I am totally exhausted. My feet and legs ache from all the running around and standing, etc. Just beat. I hope that means I burned some of that Easter meal cause I really did bad today. But the weather was fantastic and I just can't get over how warm it got today. Just fabulous. No joke ladies! You're reading a post from a newly appointed member of the Tallyscrapper DT! I KNOW!!! I can't believe it either. I'm so lucky, this is going to be such a fun and challenging next couple of months but hey I'm ready! Thanks to all the Tally peeps who like me enough to let me stay there and post my work. I just can't get over it! I could hardly work today - Tally was on my mind all day. The layout below was my DT winner (the one of the three with the most points). Well for me, I have been mainly working and doing taxes. Ick right? Well, not so fast. First I make some good money this time of year...to help pay for some home improvement projects, my new computer (a whole other post!) and buy lots of scrappy stuff. Just bought some of the new BG Origins collection. Here is the layout I did with it...I love this picture of Ian ;0)

This was also for one of the Tally Idol challenges going on at my fav scrappy place. I also pre-ordered the BG Max and Wiskers collection - LOL. I've bought a lot lately!!! Just dropped a few bucks at a CTMH party too. Geez. Well good thing for tax season.

Holy Smokes it's been a while!

Hubby said to me tonight that I haven't updated my blog in a while... so sweet of him to check on me every now and again. I thought to myself it couldn't be that long ago, maybe a month - LOL So holy smokes when I saw my last post of Jan 16th. Geez. Ya know its so flipping hard to keep up with everything now adays. Why is this life so much more complicated that the way my parent's world was? Not really sure, but I say I'm sorry scrappy friends that I have neglected my blog. I will (after tax season) get back to updating. Infact I'd like to post a lot of what I have been doing lately!
I am trying out for the DT over at Tally right now. So if you are tally member - here is my shameless plea for your votes... (PLEASE GIVE ME LOTS OF POINTS). Okay with that out of the way - I recall what sparked my computer hyatis is my never-ending computer woes. Which are now solved thanks to HP. Dell totally sucked and screwed my life up so we won't discuss that...
But in any event I have been scrappy...just not bloggy....lol

On my next visit I promise to take off the Christmas theme!

My last workout

Well Workout #12 is my last as a member of the ScrapFIT DT. I had such a blast working with all of these talented ladies. It was an awesome experience and I thank Kelly so much for making me a member of her team. Now because it was our last (for this DT) our challenge was called Weight Lifting. We had to "scraplift" another DT member's layout from WO #1-11. This wasn't easy to choose, but I chose Pia's WO#4 layout cause the colors and the design was just so stiking, it drew my attention immediately. To see Pia's layout please go to ScrapFIT's blog and check out the post by Kelly. Here is my layout.

So your challenge is to "lift" one of the DT's layouts and scrap it! Scraplifting is way more fun than Weight Lifting - Promise!

It goes by too fast! I spent a lot of time it felt like scrapping and enjoying the Winter Crop on ScrapFIT forum. But I didn't get much accomplished! I am a slow scrapper, I think cause I fuss over it looking just right or not happy with the layouts, etc. I don't know why - it just does!
Well if you had an opportunity to stop by then you know it was a lot of fun and a ton of challenges! The best part is later tonight Kelly will announce the new DT! They begin their work Feb 1st, so look out for that announcement. It iwll be on the blog as well.

Sorry I'm slightly late in posting - been a very busy day that started late due to last nights festivities! But here is my layout for ScrapFITs next workout. This was so fun and if you have any photos from the recent snow storms and ofcourse Christmas - this workout is for you! Your title must be "It's a wonderful life" and you must incorporate some stitching on your page. This was a challenge for me but I was so excited cause I just bought the Pixie with my xmas money and I couldn't wait to try it out. This is my first real sewing machine - even if it is a smaller craft version. It sure beats the $5 one I got at AC Moore! Anyways, be gone ladies and get to work on your workout! Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone has a splended night whatever you are doing. I am spending sometime with friends and then hopefully if no hangover tomorrow I'll be scrapping. Here in southern PA we are seeing some really nice snow fall today. I'm loving every minute of it! Hubby not so much cause the plow on the 4wheeler doesn't seem to be working too well. But I'm enjoying it and so are the boys. Already out in it once, now I'm getting ready for baking cookies. I couldn't have asked for a better day!

Wow can you believe it? #10 already. Okay so here it goes. Kelly asked us each to pick a Holiday related word. Then come up with our own little challenge based on the letters in the word. But you must use primarily Cosmo Cricket products cause they are the sponsor for this challenge!

So the word I chose was SNOWMAN. Snowman stands for S-stitching, N-nine circles, O-Overlapping, W-White background/cardstock, M-metal embellies, A-All Cosmo Cricket, N- Naught and Nice as the title.

Our first snow of the season!

I know many of you are in the same boat....but it was soooo nice to see the first snow yesterday. I was happy! And so was Bryson cause he got all dressed up and went outside most of the day. This is him in his new hat and his bibs and scarf getting ready to tackle the snow. Although we didn't ge much, it was still fun.

Can you believe we are up to # 9 already? Wow. So here it is...and this was fun! The object is to use LOTS of white space so this challenge is cleverly called "Snow Storm". And since snow kinda shimmers in the sunlight - don't forget to add that little sparkle to the page! Please hop on over to ScrapFIT and play along. Here's my take on the challenge. Well my Steelers let me down again. Geez. I totally expected to win in OT when we started marching down the field and then Big Ben gets hurt. Sooooooo close to field goal range. Just sucks. I blame it on my hubby cause he wasn't wearing his jersey (he was on an airplane at the time). But last week he didn't wear it either. Halloween was fun, wish I had decorated a bit more for it, I think the boys would have liked that but just couldn't this year. I usually go all out for Christmas so they'll live with that I guess! Headaches suck!

BIG TIME! I even took my Imitrex and damn thing made me sick and wouldn't go away. I slept about 6 hours today and it finally went away. Thank GOD. But that was 6 hours I could have been working on my Workout for scrapFIT. I'm so mad...now it's late and I'm trying to stay awake to finish it...serves me right for waiting until the last minute...(sigh)

Well like many people now a days - I really needed something to be happy about today - and I got it! My son got another "A" in class today for his behavior - didn't miss a single point again today! I'm so proud of him. He's also reading his 20 minutes every night, without a fight or whimper. It's been great and I'm tickled with his progress.
Now if only I could find a way to grow that money tree...

Love now that it's football season. Seriously! Steelers playing tonight. My big boy is playing on Sunday - which is home and we're going to kick some tail!!! Go Warriors. I love these pics of Ian, playing and enjoying the sun one Sunday afternoon in June. He's addicted to riding on the 4 wheeler with Daddy! It's so cute. My picture of the layout really doesn't do it justice...a little washed out. Sorry about that!

Count down begins - 8 more days til I'm off to Pittsburg to see the NFL opening game!!! SWEET! I can't wait to see the game, the pregame show and just being there in all the excitement. AND the best part is it's going to be Bryson's first football game. I will have plenty of pics I'm sure.

What a week!

My oldest baby turned 8 this past weekend. Yeah I planned a party, worked really hard to make it fun, spent all day Sunday cleaning, etc...but yet it still hasn't hit me yet his bday was here and went and now he's 8. For some reason 8 just seems like such a big number. Don't know why. 2 weeks til school starts and I'm freaking out too. So much to do and get ready for. It's just been crazy. But in light of everything going on, I got to get this pic snapped of my and my eldest son. Do you think he looks like me? Oh yeah and I sent off my latest DT challenge layout to Kelly for scrapfit! You gals are going to love this challenge...Perhaps I'll get a sneak peek of it up for you tomorrow.

Yes both boys are growing up too fast for me but I've been looking at this picture for a while now and just had to scrap it and write down exactly what I feel when I see it. My baby is getting big!

I don't think I scrap enough with journalling that I want to be meaningful to the person who is seeing/reading it. After all what's the point?

I challenge you to write journalling on your next layout that expresses a little more emotion than just the who, when, where and why. I know you cna do it!

Bryson starts football practice tomorrow. Already I'm dreading the rushing around, much later dinners and just plain more to do. On the scrapping front, I finished my layout for my first DT challenge, but can't upload it for you yet ;0) You'll see - just a few more days. I'm going to take the next couple of days and work on some cards. I bought a new punch that I learned to create flowers with it so I want to try that out. Hopefully use up some scraps too!

Not only did I just enjoy a wonderful vacation (well if you don't count the issues with the dog and the sunglasses) but when I got back I found an email that notified me I was chosen for a spot on ScrapFit's design team! First and foremost - family and I just got back from vacation. We hada ball in M. Beach, SC. Weather was nice, hot and humid which we expected but the ocean water was so warm - couldn't have asked for better.

The past two weekends have been have great! Lots to do but enjoying the weather, really getting into the groove of summer. Sat we had Bryson's last Little League game and league picnic afterwards...FUN! And then today we enjoyed a little outside time.. I was cleaning windows (not so fun) but trying to get a little sun in the process. After dinner I thought the little pool would be warm enough for Ian to get in and play - turns out not warm enough...after I put him in for 2 seconds he screamed and cried, I pulled him out and snapped this pic! Too funny - like I said lots of Attitude!

A Whole Month!

Wow it's been whole month since my last post... boy do I feel lazy. Not really - I feel tired! Too much going on. Happy New Year everyone - can't believe it's 2009 already. Geez where did the time go? My little guy will be a year old soon and it's tax season again. Sooooo that means all the fun things in life start to go by the wayside so I can make a little cash.
Sorry to have neglected everyone for awhile - thanks to the ladies who still have made comments on the blog - I promise I'll get back into things.
Along with wanting to lose weight this year - oh yeah that's not going well yet! - I'd like to get my schedule organized. I decided I need to make a plan to do one thing each night and actually accomplish it. I'm going to try!
Anyone else have any plans for change this year? Speaking of change... tomorrow we get a new President. I'll be honest I didn't vote for him and nor do I believe in him. But Lord, I hope I am wrong - and I hope that somehow our economy can bounce back. Everyone is struggling and it's getting pretty scary out there!

New Layouts

So where do I begin? Well here are two of the most recent layouts I got completed this weekend. Ian has been sick, then had an allergic reaction to one of the meds, ended up in the ER and I have been home with him for 3 days. I did manage to clean, do laundry and xmas shop! So I am proud to say I am about 96% done!

Getting fired up for the game tomorrow!!! The Steelers could take over 1st place in the NFL! Holy cow that would be sweet! So keep your fingers crossed for me - that is if you're not a Raven's fan ;0)

And last but not least, I needed a new trimmer. The blades on mine were bad, it is not being made anymore that I could find around here so I bought a fiskers at 50% off. I am not really happy with it. It still freys the ends of the cardstock when I cut it - it's okay for regular papers. I'm not too happy and now I don't know what to do! So anyone want to give me some suggestions on yet another trimmer? Oh yeah, it's just a regular blade, not a rotary. Does anyone like the rotary style? Help!

All I am gonna say is that it was an oh so SWEET VICTORY! Steelers 13 - Ravens 9

Loved it! We had friends of Joel's come an watch the game and I had a blast. I jumped up and down in excitement...now I can go to work tomorrow with a huge smile on my face and probably end up having my Terrible Towel put in the trash... that's how those Raven fans operate... at least the ones I work with ;0)

Over at Tally we extended the 12 Days of Xmas challenges. I am so far behind at this point I'm just trying to do the ones that really speak to me. Here is one I completed last week...Have a great week. BTW - have I told you I have done virtually NO xmas shopping? YIKES!!!!!

It's Been Forever

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I did and the long weekend was very much needed. I got my walk-in closet cleaned out, got my scrapbook room cleaned up and better organized and got all the inside Christmas decorations up. Didn't buy one present this weekend and now I'm starting to panic a little. But I got sometime and I got to get my lists together and just get out there. I just feel very sorry for all those people who got hurt on Friday, and those that actually lost their lives while shopping. I mean seriously! Someone has to be responsible for that and people need to care more about people's safety than getting a TV. It's a very sad reminder of how commericalized Christmas actually is.
Okay enough preaching ;0)

I hope to get my layout finished for Ian's album and start on my cookie tags. I got 2 orders to fill for our cookie swap. yeah!
Oh and by the way - GO STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I pray we beat the Patriots....

No longer a virgin

A Vera Bradley virgin that is! My hubby got me my first bag - I just love it! I can't believe he bought one for me and it is so huge! I can fit everything in it ;0)

And I scurried around to try and upload for one of the challenges over the weekend on Tally to find that I'm not that computer savvy when it comes to the uploading and screwed it up some how. So I couldn't enter it - at least not yet (Pray Nerd will fix my problem) But here it is for all of you to see! The challenge was to interview a child about Christmas. I've always wanted to do an interview layout with Bryson so this was fun!

Well I have a pretty busy schedule the rest of this week! I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! And don't forget this is the best time to create that special page about what you are thankful for this year! I know I have a lot to be thankful for!

Yes today is the day I can no longer say I'm 32. Nope I've crossed that one off my list, now on to 33. Hope the double "3"s are good luck. Okay enough about me...here are some pics of some cards I got done for the Black Friday Open House.

Well my next bit of news - WAY excited that the Steelers won Sunday. But they play again Thursday, not much time to rest ;0( - And yes Latte - we can still be friends.

BUT I guess the most exciting news of all is my little guy Ian, just got his first tooth today! It broke through sometime during day and I am so tickled! He's been a little crabby ;0)

And one last pic before I go... bought Bryson and Ian new winter stuff...went to GAP outlet on Sat and got Bryson this hat. He actually got in trouble in school with cause he wanted to wear it to gym class and they wouldn't let him... well at least he likes it a lot right?

The flipping Steelers LOST tonight to Indy - seriously it was the worst loss yet cause we GAVE them 14 points on interceptions... you just can't do that! I'm really mad at Ben right now.

BUT the good news is I got to scrapbook this weekend. I made this layout... and I started working on some mini-albums for the Black Friday sale. Hopefully I can sell them. I will post when they are done but in the meantime here is the layout I actually got done ;0)

Below are some shots of the boys from this weekend. Ian is sitting up so well now on his own, he took his first big boy bath on Friday night. And I love the one with him and Bryson playing. Bryson is the best big brother - I just love to see them interact.

Well I'm sick. So I didn't get to go to the parade tonight which is fine really cause I didn't want to take Ian out in the cold, damp and very breezy night. And it turned out Bryson's team decided not to be in the parade like an hour before hand! huh???? So I don't think I missed anything.

It gave me a chance to catch up on the blog and post the pics I promised... so here goes!

These of our trip to the Pumpkin Patch. Ian, Bryson and then the large pumpkin we picked that day. We came home with 4 but this one is the main one ;0)

Next we have Bryson showing his spirit for his football tourney last Sat. He wanted to die his hair so I bought some Halloween stuff - boy did that make a mess - I wouldn't recommend this product! But what do I get for $1 a can?

Then lastly these are just some pics of the boys this past week. Ian turned 8 months old yesterday. He's getting so big!!!!

To do just about everything... I am not prepared for anything anymore and this week isn't going to give me much time to get ready!

Today was the last Warriors football game until next season ;0( But my little guy had 4 tackles and his name was over the announcements all morning! It was so great to see him and his team go out on top. Technically an undefeated season... and they tied on one scrimmage. So they played awesome! Not bad for a bunch of smurfs.

This week that Halloween parade is Tues. The football is in the parade. Then Wed is pizza party and equipment hand ins. Friday is Halloween and then Sat and Sun I am gone mostly all day. I don't know when I will breathe! I think there are going to be a lot of late nights cause I have a ton to do to get ready for this weekend.

Okay - I rambled on a great deal about nothing! I have a ton of pics to upload including Pumpkin patch, last football game, Ian sitting by himself and the cool little gift bags I made for this weekends vendor symposium. I want to have some cards done too but I doubt that will happen.. as I said - I need more time!

Fall celebrations

So what do you do to celebrate the most wonderful season of them all? Of course that is just my opinion - but I do love fall the most. Our family tradition is to go to the pumpkin patch and pick out our pumpkins. This year was Ian's first trip to the patch. I'll post some pics soon.

The other tradition that sort of goes hand in hand is we always buy apple dumplings for Joel. His mother used to make them for him all the time and since she passed, I have not mustered the courage to attempt to make them myself... soooo we buy them ;0)

Last weekend at the cybercrop at Tally I entered this layout based on the apple dumplings and won 2nd place! I am so excited I never win anything - especially when I am competing with so many talented ladies over there...

I used Basic Grey's Ambrosia collection for the papers, cardstock and boarder stickers. I don't like the way it photographed.. I think it's much nicer in person ;0)

So I have a ton more stuff to post but it's late and I'm cold and tired... the bed is calling.

Tomorrow I will post all the upcoming crops and events I have coming up in the next few weeks. So stay tuned!

Great to be a govt worker!

Had the day off today! Although it was a day off, I got zero scrapping done. Zero zilch! BUT here is a layout I got finished the other day for a challenge over at Tally.

But the day was a productive. I took Ian to visit his GG and NaNa plus the girls I used to work with at the accounting firm. Ofcourse he got lots of smiles and kisses - he was eating it up!

He's been too fussy lately, think his tooth is coming soon. I can only hope!

So other than that not much going on here... going to call it an early night, got some scrap mags to read!

Just Perfect

Well Ian came home sick today. He was just too congested to eat by mid-morning and the director called me to come pick him up (sigh). But that's okay cause when they are sick they feel better with their mommies and I got some time to take a nap and finish a layout! Granted its a simplisitc one but hey - right now I'm not getting much time to do anything so any layout getting done is a blessing.

Just think he's so perfect! I have a million photos of this particular photo shoot but this pic I love the most.

So now Ian offically has two layouts in his album... poor guy mommy better get cracking!

First Sick Day

I knew Ian was sick, a minor cold I thought, but he's had it for a few weeks now. He's teething so that doesn't help either... so I finally felt the need to take him to the Dr. although I knew that they don't do anything for the run of the mill cold. I'm glad I did! He had so much wax in his ears I could have made a candle. Plus his ears were infected... but no fever, no fussiness, nothing. Which means he's a real trooper! Poor little man... so today, was Ian's first sick day ;0)

Good news is with the sick day I have been able to work on a layout! Hope to get it done and uploaded tomorrow.

This weekend is another home game for GMF. Our Warriors are 5-0 and loving it more every week! Here's a pic of Bryson at the last home game.

Neglected and going pink!

Well my hubby actually got on my blog last night, thought it was awesome, read every word since its inception but decided when he was done, he felt a little neglected...no pics of my hubby on my blog. So I chose to rectify this situation with a post and a photo. He wanted to choose which photo of him got put up here but I say - if you're going to be on the blog - it's my party and I'll do what I want ;0) So this is the photo I chose!

Besides it's only fitting given the awesome come-from-behind win the Steelers had last night over the Ravens. I stayed up way too late to enjoy it but I am so glad I did.

Back from TX and a little housekeeping

Well the trip was great, had lots of fun except it was really warm - too warm for my taste and the plan rides were less than pleasant. But I am home safe and sound. Here are some pics from my trip. I got to meet up with Pam from Tally and she showed me around the city a little, took me to lunch and even gave me some fab Texas themed-scrap paper. Loved it! Now I just gotta get scrapping... yeah like I have time for that!

Work this coming week will be hectic. Meeting on Wed for Bryson at his school and then fun filled weekend of football again. I didn't go today cause of the rain and Ian isn't feeling too good - gots a little cold. Giving him lots of kisses cause I missed him so much while I was gone!

I added the playlist too! I only put 5 songs on it so far cause frankly I've been fighting for computer time today and that was all I could do. BUT I'd like for you to give me some suggestions as to what you'd like to hear. So please leave your suggestions here and I'll try and add them!

Okay I could really write a ton more but it's almost 9 and I am going to watch DH. Did anyone catch the premier of Grey's??? Loved it!!!! Although I had to watch it SAT night from my computer cause I was on a plane when it aired Thursday night...another reason I didn't like the ride home.

While you were out...

My animals had the run of the house, well at least the kitchen. Recently since Sam is prone to seizures we've penned him in the kitchen/dinning room during the day while we are at work. When he has a seizure he looses control of his blatter so it's just easier on me and the carpet this way! But he rarely has accidents and hasn't had a seizure that we know of for quite a while. However when I got home this evening from picking up the baby/watching a little football practice - I was in for a shock! I wish I would had taken a picture but I was so frazzled I didn't think about it until I was already in clean up mode.
One of the kitchen table chairs was knocked over, the table cloth in a pile on top of the tipped over chair, and my tuscany vase was in pieces all over the floor and the chair. There was also spots of dog pee all over the dinning room floor. I really have no idea how it happened I would bet money that the pee was from the dog, the rest was the cat. Harley is very bad ;0)
So...at 7:15pm at night I didn't feel like cooking and cleaning so I made hubby stop at McDonald's on his way home.
Aaahhhh...now that my kitchen floor is sparkling clean, I can go to bed. So much for scrapping and posting a pic of my Halloween swap project. There's always tomorrow!

Not enough time in the day...

To get everything done I want to! It stinks. I really really need to begin working on my tallyHalloween swap projects. I have all the supplies but have done nothing more. Maybe this weekend I can knock half of them out. Maybe! I have a hundred layouts swarming in my head that I want to do but no time to do them. I am reading abook my sister lent me - Daniel Steel's His Bright Light, about her son have Bi-polar and his loosing battle with it. Yes reading it makes me scared and depressed for/about Bryson but in a way it is good to read about someone else's struggles with the disease.
Football is in full swing. Bryson's second game is Sunday at 11am which really stinks cause it's away - over an hour away so we will more than likely miss the opening kickoff to the Steeler's game. Ahhh we are getting old! Next week we are at home so that's good!
I think I'm getting sick on too of all this... probably because I am run down... but I think doing out drinking on Sat night didn't help ;0) - gotta blame it on something. No really though I had a great time and it's something I don't get to do too often but never miss a chance to hang with my Michelle!
And now it just hit me that I actually have two weeks left until I leave for San Antonio! Geez...when will things slow down????

Ahhh back to work....

Yeah like I am really excited about that! I am not but I guess it's good to get back into the swing of things. Last week was such a screwy week with it being back to school but only on Wed and Thurs? Then they had days off, etc. It was just nutty. So I will be glad to finally get a full week of school under out belts and hopefully establish a routine soon.

I did start working on the animals for Ian's room. The giraffe turned out really cute - I have three of them done so far. But I had to stop the project to work on my Halloweeen swap over at Tally. Here is one of the pieces I plan to use on my doorhanger project....

Pretty spooky huh? Anywho, I finally decided what to do now I just have to finish getting the rest of the supplies. This photo was found off of some site on the internet so I can't take credit for it's creation! But very Vintage feeling and that is the goal. I will post one when I am finished - don't know when that will be but you know - soon.

Well have a great week ladies and gents (if any frequent the blog) and pray for Fall to get here soon! I love fall!!!!!

On a totally different note, everyone at Tally is loving the 4th of July page and I am so glad. But I gotta tell you there are so many talented ladies over there I just can't compete! But it's fun trying. Just want to say thanks to Christi who keeps encouraging me with comments on my blog and on Tally! Thanks Christi! Check out her blog - the link is below.

And finally, we just got home a little bit ago from meet the teacher night. It is with mixed emotions I leave there cause one, its a new school. I don't think it's as nice as the one Bryson was in and should be since he is no longer going in our own district. But the staff in his TES room is wonderful. He'll have 4 other kids in the class with a FT teacher and a FT aid plus theroputic professionals three times a week. I know it's what he needs but I miss the normalsy of a regular classroom. I miss the staff and parents at James Gettys already. But I just pray that soon Bryson will be able to adjust and learn and grow and be productive so he can go back to mainstream where he belongs. Uuuhhhh.... okay I'm done venting.

Any who - this all started with wishing Michelle a happy birthday so again - girlie have a great day! And can't wait until Saturday evening - hope I won't be too much of a wet blanket for you!

Got a layout finished. Geez it seems lately it takes as long as giving birth just to knock out one little layout ;0)

Well here it is, our day at the ball park on July 4th. It helped I went to Randi's on Friday night to scrap. Otherwise I am sure it wouldn't have gotten done.

I need to get better at taking pictures at the right angle. Since I can not scan (just not smart enough to figure out the stitching thing), I need to take pics of the layouts. Sometimes I can't cut out the table, chair or whatever it is they sit on while I snap them. Someday I'll get high tech.

The first is the jar I made to send to LadyMissSusan(on the left), and the other two are of the jar she gave me and the loot inside! Bryson had fun helping me look through all the goodies. He even got to take the whistle that was in there... just so he'd stop asking me so many questions!

Ahh... it was also a busy weekend. Parties, football and being outside a lot. I am kinds tired! Here is one last pic of Ian in his saucer...he's getting the hang of it and the toys but he's not quite flat-footed yet on the bottom. Maybe in another week or two - just a few more inches boy - you can do it!

Okay, gotta go post all this good stuff on Tally! Happy back to school to all those heading back this week here in PA and MD. Bryson starts Wed. Thank goodness!

Busy weekend

My olderst turned 7 on Saturday. The weekend was pretty much about him...but then again everyday is about him ;0)

A little mini-golf, dinner at Ruby Tues. and then some goodies... like Guitar Hero on Tour for his DS. The guys doesn't put it down! Ofcourse he got a lot of other cool goodies from our friends and family. Steelers toothbrush that Aunt Michelle gave him rocks! Then Sunday we had a cookout with family as I have about 10 people on my side with birthdays in Aug. We just pick a day and celebrate.

Weather has been great here - I've finally gotten my hubby to leave the windows open for the time being so to save $ on electric...it's just crazy!

I had to post this photo...it's of Ian in a not so happy state. But I think it's just too cute.

I'm sure he'll thank me one day for putting this on the internet!

I haven't had much time to scrap at all and I am really bummed cause everytime I jump on Tally I get the urge to scrap and it's like 10pm and I am barely awake... gotta go to sleep! Maybe this weekend... I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Here is me and my newly found twin... same color pants on too! It was weird! Hi Susan!

Then the best part... here is my loot from the convention. The Quickcuts animals I plan to use to decorate my son's nursery walls - hopefully before he gets too old for the theme! Then I got some Ambrosia paper packs from Basic Grey, a Rolodex thingy I can alter, some chipboard circles with clear plastic covers so I can make something to hang on the wall, a file and some Queen and Co snow flake things...plus some odds and ends. Oh yeah the large chipboard monogram letters. To spell out Ian and Bryson's names...might try and cover them some how to match their rooms.

Can't wait to find time to scrap now!

Okay so I am back and still tired, but I did manage to pull the photos off my camera... they aren't the best but maybe this can give you an idea of how big the event is and our booth. The booth wasn't completely done when I took the pic so you don't get the total effect but it's close-just missing some signs, etc. That's the first pic, the second is one of me in the booth ;0). The third is me and my twin on Sat. Pam made me shamelessly wear one of the shirts we were selling... me and Susan (in the pic) were dressed exactly alike - so weird that we had to take a pic...So Susan is making her debut on the internet! Nice to meet you Susan!!! And the next couple are of the floor where all the vendors were. The last is of all the loot I bought! Pam let me leave every so often to get Skinny Cow and to shop.
We had a lot of sales (at least for me it was a lot!) so I am hoping Pam will send me a big fat check soon!!!!! ;0) Anyhow, it was a ton of fun but a ton of work. So I need to get some more sleep. Since I bought all the goodies I am going to do my best to work on some cool projects and get them posted.
Bryson and Ian both missed me a lot and I was so glad to see them too!

Well as a follow up to above - as you can see there are no pics...I need to resave as a lower resolution or something cause Blogger isn't letting me upload them :0( And honestly I am too tired to do it tonight.... so you'll have to wait in suspense!

and in one piece! My let me tell you - I am so tired I could sleep for days...Pam (my booth partner) had me running like crazy! But we had a great show and sold a ton and the best part is I got to meet a lot of wonderful ladies in the process. Plus I got to buy some goodies ;0)

So I am going to get some sleep tonight... and then tomorrow I will post some pics and tell you more about the show!

Also, if you're interested in a weekend crop - Nov 7-9th CRC in East Waterford, PA Cost is $115-140 depending on your package preference. Disc for groups of people. It starts 12 noon on Friday and you crop til you drop or 3pm Sunday (which ever comes first ;0)) - All meals and lodging are included so it's a fabulous price!

Computer problems

The last thing I need is computer problems but my internet or something seems to be malfunctioning. Hope I can make it through this post ;0)
It's been a whole week since I wrote - where does the time go? I've been busy and unfortunately not with anything scrapbooking related. But tomorrow is a new day and maybe I won't be so tired tomorrow night that I can work on my 4th of July page. My kit from MW came and I love it!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to get to work on that page. I'll post when finished but at this rate it may be Christmas.
Okay - getting lonely again! Please comment and let me know what's going on with you! On Tally I am doing a Jar of Whimsy swap. It's gonna be fun to see what my partner puts in my jar! I'll post when I get hers completed and recieved mine. If you have a group of scrapping friends you should try a swap - any kind - just to get some fresh ideas, make lasting friendships and have a little fun!
